Birmingham Pen Co. - Mountain Thistle
(Birmingham Pen Co. - Mountain Thistle, swatched on a Col-O-Ring swatch card (design is a Yoseka Stationery stamp).
Like all of the Birmingham inks I’ve tried, this one is really lovely! The large swatches show a bit of shading, but most prominent is the dark halo it has (similar to Airline, which also had delicious halo-ing). The purple is actually warmer than the scans came out, but I try not to adjust the scans for consistency’s sake. Please refer to the taken photos, as I’ve done my best to colour correct those :)

Here it’s inked up in a broad nib Kaweco sport, and the shading is absolutely delightful. It writes really well (not too wet or dry!)
