Why hello! This is day two of the Diamine Inkvent calendar for 2023. A lovely standard ink called Cashmere Rose.

Let’s get into it.

Cashmere Rose is a gorgeous standard shade - and I do like that we get a chameleon as the first day, and then immediately a standard ink right off the bat. It helps confirm that, indeed, we will have some beautiful inks safe for all nibs and feeds.

There’s a nice amount of shading on the Midori paper, but especially the Tomoe River paper. I definitely had that ‘ooooo’ moment when I swatched it. This one is definitely going to be an ink I’ll use in the future, since I already love Diamine Amaranth. In fact, it sort of seems like a blend of Amaranth and Lady Rose from Ferris Wheel Press.

I’ve inked it up in a Lamy Safari <M>, and I really like it! The colour is soft but legible, and behaved extremely well. I’m pretty likely to fill a pen again with this ink.
