Ferris Wheel Press - Majestic Maple Syrup | Woven Warmth Collection
Today’s fountain pen ink is another from the Woven Warmth collection from Ferris Wheel Press, named Majestic Maple Syrup. All the inks in the trio are shimmery, coming in quite the gorgeous shades. The other two inks are a red named Cabernet on the Lake, and a light green named Hampton Harbour Sage.
The ink is a light brown colour, with a bit of a warm undertone. It features a lot of silver shimmer, though it’s fairly subtle. Like with other shimmer inks, I would definitely only ink this one in a medium nib or larger, just to avoid potential clogging.
Also, yes, I did manage to spill my charger bottle onto the Kokuyo and Tomoe River paper. A lot on my desk too, though I managed to syringe it back lol.
Here’s a little sample video of the ink in action, with a Speedball monoline dip pen, and a glass dip pen on Tomoe River paper.
I really love this ink - I’m a sucker for brown inks, especially those with a vintage vibe. Also, as a Canadian, I think I’m obligated to love anything with maple syrup. Or something like that.
Also, here’s a close up of the swatch on Tomoe River paper at an angle with some indirect sunlight, so you’re more accurately able to gauge the shimmer.

A cool tone, desaturated brown with lots of shading.
