Sailor x Cultpens - Suiseki

I am obsessively looking for a bottle (or a dupe) of this.

(Sailor x Cultpens - Suiseki, swatched on a Col-O-Ring swatch card (design is a Yoseka Stationery stamp).

I got a coveted sample of this from the lovely @pensandcat - an exclusive older collab ink between Sailor and Cult Pens. Looking at the Cult Pens site, you can see it mentioned in the photos though it’s not listed as one of the purchase options now :(

Sui Seki is such a nice soft brown colour - it’s got those warm undertones that feel like a comforting blanket. Maybe that’s why I have an affinity for this, my favourite blanket from my parents is one of a similar colour. The ink behaves really well in any pen on or any paper. Often when I show inks I have a tendency to gravitate to the inks on Midori paper for that extra hit of warmth - but in this case it’s so nice on Tomoe River ;_;

The ink in any pen is gorgeous and legible. I’ve put it in my Pilot VP <F> and it was fine, but I love it in the architect nib I have.

The closest dupe in my collection currently is Robert Oster Vanpen 86, which is another exclusive collaborative ink. Vanpen86 is a bit darker, however, and has a much cooler base. If you have any thoughts for a potential or known colour match, please let me know! This is my knight’s quest LOL.
