Van Dieman’s - Shooting Star
Van Dieman’s - Shooting Star, swatched on a Col-O-Ring swatch card (design is a Yoseka Stationery stamp).
This ink is quite the sparkly surprise of the Advent Calendar! It’s a dark blue ink with lots of fun sparklies. It’s got lots of pink sheen (it’s practically overwhelming on the Midori and Tomoe River papers), and gold shimmer.
The blue colour is quite pretty on the Kokuyo and Rhodia papers—the sheen is less overwhelming. These are all things in terms of the large swatches though, in writing all the aspects of the ink are on display.

The above writing sample is using a Lamy Safari with a cursive nib.
This ink is quite wet and a wee bit more viscous. It’s a lovely ink to write with though. I have similar ones in my collection (I’m thinking FWP Tumbling Time Blue), so I’m not likely to get a bottle of this one. But it is a stunning ink :)
