Birmingham Pen Co. - Freshwater Bog
(Birmingham Pen Co. - Freshwater Bog, swatched on a Col-O-Ring swatch card (design is a Yoseka Stationery stamp).
Another beautiful ink from Birmingham Pen Co., this time in the colour Freshwater Bog. It’s less saturated than Airline, and it’s a bit darker in the large swatches. In writing I’d say that Freshwater Bog is actually more subtle and light in appearance, since Airline has tons of dark halo-ing.
The colour has a good amount of shading too it, without being too harsh.

Writing Sample
Like the other inks from Birmingham that I’ve tried, Freshwater Bog is a delightful ink to write with. No issues with flow - no skipping, no heavy pooling.
I think it’s a lovely colour, especially in those large swatches. However, I somehow have accumulated lots of blue ink, so it’s got a lot of tough competition, lol.
Here’s the writing sample, done with a Benu Euphoria with a Fine nib, on a Sterling Ink notebook using Tomoe River Sanzen paper in 52gsm.
