Kala Island No. 38 - Sweet Potato Balls

This is my first ink from Kala! It looks like they sell them over at Jetpens (not an affiliate link). I hadn’t heard of the brand before being gifted this ink sample, but my googling says it’s a Taiwanese ink brand. The ink is a very bright orange colour, and in the large swatches has a bit of pretty shading.
Also, I’m basically a child, and the ink name does make me laugh, yes.

Sweet Potato Balls writes very nicely, there’s no issues with it. In my extra fine there’s some subtle shading. The combo isn’t quite my cup of tea, but I am enjoying the sample!
