Lennon Tool Bar - Mountain Elves - môo-sîn-á - 魔神仔
Lennon Tool Bar - Mountain Elves - môo-sîn-á - 魔神仔, swatched on a Col-O-Ring swatch card (design is a Yoseka Stationery stamp).
Mountain Elves is a steady grey ink—I’d say it’s a medium grey, leaning to the cooler side. There’s some of that pinky sheen to it on the Midori and Tomoe River papers, though I wouldn’t say it’s visible at all in my writing sample (which you’ll see below). The ink behaves very well, which I’ve found to be true of Lennon Tool Bar inks.
The English part of the packaging says:
”Sometimes, people get lost and disappeared in the mountains. Some lost tourists were eventually found with their mouths stuffed with mud or poisonous warms. Strangely. they said they’ve been treated to a feast by the locals. This is the story of the mountain elves. They were the hosts in the mountains. Nobody knows if they meant well or evil. But maybe it’s their different diet culture of theirs that makes people feel like these elves are more on the evil side.
This time, they found a small toy left by the human in the mountain hut. So they went back and invite their friends to hang out there. They said you can chat with this toy. I wonder if this is the chatroom that the mountain climbers were talking about. “Pen Fairy, Pen Fairy, please come out! the mountain elves casting the spell…”

As you can see, the ink itself doesn’t show a lot of shading (though perhaps it’s because of the extra-fine nib, THOUGH I will say other inks show a lot of shading even with extra fine nibs—like my favourite Sailor Sei Boku).
The ink itself does behave nicely though, and it’s lovely on page. But without any extra fun things visible (like sheen or shading), I don’t think I’ll be picking it up again.
Hi! Just a disclaimer that:

A medium grey ink, reliable as heck.
