Anderillium - Colossal Squid Dark
Anderillium - Colossal Squid Dark, swatched on a Col-O-Ring swatch card (design is a Yoseka Stationery stamp).
This ink from Anderillium is such a funny one. I straight up thought this was just a black ink, but it’s under most lighting it’s right between black and a teal colour. The more I look at it, the more it really captures that cosmic-horror / cthulhu emerging from the water vibe (which side note, one of my favourite board games is Mansions of Madness, which is a great one to have if you’re looking for a 1 player or more kind of board game!)
In large swatch pools, you can see there’s some cloudy green colouring to it, and the teal really comes out more-so on the Midori paper. There’s also some red sheening, though it’s mostly prominent on the Midori paper as well.

Writing Sample / Ink Review
The writing sample was done using a Kaweco Sport with an extra fine nib.
There’s some shading with this ink (it’s another gentle shader, which you may prefer!), which means it has a home in my ink collection LOL.
I don’t think this would be the first black-teal ink I’d reach for, but I enjoy having it here.
Hi! Just a disclaimer that:
This ink sample was purchased with my own money.

Black with a teal base—like Cthulhu coming right after you.
