Robert Oster - Heart of Gold
The fountain pen ink today is another new to my drawer, though I’ve been keeping an eye on the brand for a bit. It’s Robert Oster in Heart of Gold!
Let’s get into it.
Robert Oster is an Australian stationery brand (made and designed there). They boast on their website that their inks are non-toxic, and there’s a lot of sustainability to their products, which you can read about on their ethics page - a very lovely touch to know what a company stands for and why / what led them to make certain decisions.
Heart of Gold is a crazy golden ink. Like, I figured by the name and the glitter settled at the bottom of the bottle that there would be quite a bit, but I really wasn’t expecting the sheer amount of sparkles that came out. The ink took forever to dry, though I’m pretty sure that’s because my swatching was quite heavy (it pooled a lot on the page).
Honestly, I’m worried about putting this ink in anything but my broadest, and perhaps least expensive pens. Once it’s been inked up, the page will be updated with writing samples :)
